Our experience, expertise and understanding of both organisational change and the possibilities presented by space enables us to devise innovative and practicable strategies for Space-Enabled Transformation.
LAB287 engages at the highest level within an organisation, to identify and agree strategic goals for its space-enabled future, and to then devise a clear and actionable roadmap for realising these.
Our approach commences with a deep dive into the current position of the organisation, assessing where and in what ways it creates value, and analysing why – should this be the case – it is failing to do so.
We then consider what the future may hold, within the specific contexts of the organisation, the fields in which it operates, and related fields in which it has registered interest, or might be advised to consider interest.
Combing the two assessments, we then consider how space-enablement might most effectively impact the company’s outlook. This could involve, for example, the adoption of new/radical initiatives, the optimisation or uplift of existing approaches/solutions to gain competitive edge, or the reframing of an organisation for possible future endeavours. In cases where no advantageous space use-cases are identified, the recommendation may be to undertake nothing at all at this point in time.
Whatever the conclusion, we then work with the organisation to determine the most appropriate option roadmap for progression.
LAB287 combines four diverse attributes vital for the successful development of a results-focused and technically feasible space strategy.
Our rich insight into the broad space eco-system, including a deep understanding of the landscape, the supplier market, channels of entry and access, and how best to utilise resources.
Our robust understanding of commercial and operational business principles, including the core factors that contribute to consistent business success.
Our cross-tech enablement capability, which combines our knowledge of space tech, of network and telecoms technology, and of the data and digital tech required to develop unified solutions, using space resources effectively.
Our people-centered approach, which prioritises the eliciting of ideas from, and sharing of the strategy story to, stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
Space-Enabled Transformation is a strategic commitment for any organisation. Because of this, LAB287 carries out a Preparedness Assessment as part of all strategy development exercises. This allows us to gauge the readiness of the organisation to embark on a transformation.
The assessment comprises a rigorous, 25-point appraisal of the organisation, covering Strategic Vision, Talent Capabilities, Technology Assets, Success Metrics, and Culture of Transformation.
This results in a comprehensive report which details the suitability and readiness of the organisation, and flags areas requiring attention (which we can then help remediate) before the initiative can commence.
LAB287’s core Strategy Development function involves defining a space-enablement strategy capable of maximising the value your organisation achieves from space, in relation to your overall goals.
In addition to this, we provide Advisory assistance in areas relating to space and space resources, which may help to inform internal discussion and risk assessment. These include:
